Composition:?Bismuth sub-salicylate 17.5 mg/mL
Actions:?PEPTOSYL is a first-line defense against digestive disturbances in horses and dogs. It provides analgesic, antiseptic, and antacid effects with a wide safety margin.

How It Works:?After administration, Bismuth salicylate converts to Bismuth carbonate and Sodium salicylate.?Bismuth coats and protects the gut lining, absorbs toxins, and offers antiseptic and antacid support.
The salicylate component reduces inflammation and gut pain. Most gastrointestinal upsets in horses and dogs are not bacterial, making PEPTOSYL a safe and effective choice for dietary or stress-related disturbances.
Bentonite, a natural clay similar to activated charcoal, helps neutralize bacterial endotoxins.
Indications:?Used to control and treat diarrhea, enteritis, gastritis, and colitis of non-bacterial origin.?Does not mask serious veterinary issues but relieves most gut upsets quickly. Seek veterinary advice if no improvement is seen.?
Dosage & Administration:
* Horses: 0.5 – 1.0 mL per kg body weight
* Dogs: 0.25 – 0.5 mL per kg body weight?Administer orally every 6 hours for 36 hours, then every 12 hours for 2–3 more days.?Withhold food for 24 hours where possible (not for nursing foals or puppies).?Do not use for prolonged periods in animals under 30 days old.?
Pack Sizes: 200 mL and 5 Litre?Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry place.?Warnings: Do not use less than 28 days before slaughter for human consumption.
