Kids' bikes for every little rider
Everyone remembers their first bike! Make it a memory they’ll love with our range of kids’ bikes in every size, colour and style. Now the whole family, right down to the smallest member, can tag along for the ride.
A bike for every age and stage
Once they can sit, they can ride! Our range of boys’ and girls’ bikes gives you ride-ons for the little ones, balance bikes for toddlers, push bikes without training wheels for more confident riders and, of course, big kid bikes for big kids.
30 cm bikes for first rides
A 30 cm, or 12-inch, bike is typically the next step after a balance bike. They often come with training wheels so kids can get the hang of pedalling, balancing and steering all at once. When they’re ready, the training wheels can be removed.
40 and 50 cm bikes for confident riders
Before you know it, your kid will be outgrowing their first bike and moving onto their next. If your not-so-little one is hitting that 100 to 120 cm mark, a 40 cm (or 16-inch) bike is what you’ll be looking at. For those 125cm to 150cm kiddos, you’ll be more in the 50 cm, or 20-inch, bike range.
60 cm bikes and bigger for older kids
Even once they’re pushing 145 cm, some kids aren’t quite ready for an adult bike. A 60 cm (or 24-inch) bike is a good middle spot, with boys’ and girls’ bike styles so they feel just as cool as they look. Just remember to upgrade their helmet as they grow.
Kids' bike FAQs
What size bike does my kid need?
Pick your kid’s bike based on their height, inseam and how confidently they can balance. As a guide, your kid should be able to sit comfortably on the seat, reach the handlebars and place their feet close to the ground. If they’re between sizes, choose the bike they can safely control rather than the one they can grow into.
When should kids learn to ride a bike?
Most kids are ready to learn to ride a bike once they can balance, steer and follow simple instructions confidently. This is often around preschool or early primary school age, but every kid is different. Using balance bikes and trikes can help them build confidence before they move on to a pedal bike.
Do kids' bikes come with training wheels?
Many kid’s bikes will come with training wheels, especially smaller beginner bikes. As not every bike includes them, it’s best to check the product details before buying so you know exactly what you’re getting.
