How do I choose the right size bike?

Use the rider’s height and inside-leg measurement to find the right-sized bike. They should be able to comfortably stand over the frame with some space between their body, as well as comfortably reach the handlebars, pedals and ground while riding.

What accessories do I need for my bike?

A helmet is essential when you’re riding a bike. Depending on where and how you like to ride, you may also want or need lights, a bell or reflectors to help increase your visibility. A bike lock, pump, water bottle and a repair kit are also good to have.

What’s the difference between a balance bike and training wheels?

Balance bikes have no pedals and are designed to help kids practise balancing and steering with their feet close to the ground. Training wheels are made to attach to a pedal bike to add extra stability while kids learn to pedal.
