Scooters for little riders and big adventures
A scooter is one of those sneaky workouts that turns skill-building into play. There’s a style for every age and personality, including hoverboards for the older kiddos and 3-wheelers for the little ones.
A scooter for every age and stage
Start them small on a ride-on or trike, or test their skills with a performance scooter for kids. Whatever stage they’re at, you’ll find a kids’ scooter at our famously low prices.
Toddler scooters for first rides
Toddler scooters get your little one working on their balance and coordination without even knowing it. We’ve even added light-up wheels, cute dinosaur, unicorn and other fun designs, as well as tassels so their scooter looks as fun as it feels. With a 3-wheel design, they’ll have added support while they learn.
Kids' scooters for confident riders
Once they’re ready, performance and inline scooters give kids a zippy way to get around. Many scooters can fold up, making them easier to carry or stash in their bag while they’re on the go. Just remind them to wear their helmet. Safety first!
Electric scooters for bigger kids
Some kids just have a need for speed. For an extra challenge, level up their wheels with one of our all-terrain hoverboards or kids’ electric scooters. Even the adults are going to want a turn when they get their hands on these.
Scooter FAQs
What age is a scooter for?
It’s best to only start kids on a scooter once they can confidently balance, steer and stop by themselves. Younger kids often start with a 3-wheel scooter, while older kiddos may be ready for a 2-wheel scooter once they have worked on their coordination skills.
What's the difference between a 2 and 3-wheel scooter?
A 3-wheel scooter gives more stability, while a 2-wheel scooter is better for riders with stronger balancing and coordination skills. Three-wheelers are often toddler scooters, good for beginner riders, while two-wheelers are faster, lighter and easier to turn once kids have a bit more confidence.
Are electric scooters good for kids?
Electric scooters are better for older kids who can safely ride and follow instructions. A regular kids’ scooter is a more suitable option for younger kiddos who are still learning to balance, brake and steer. A scooter’s recommended age can help guide you.
