Hypokal Tablets for Cats

Hypokal Tablets help treat chronic potassium deficiency (hypokalaemia) in cats. Each tablet contains 78mg (2mEq) of Potassium as Gluconate, which helps restore and maintain healthy potassium levels.

Hypokalaemia, or low potassium levels, can occur when dietary intake is inadequate or when excessive potassium is lost through urine. It is commonly associated with chronic renal failure, liver disease, systemic infections, and neuromuscular or central nervous system disorders.

Dosage & Administration: • In severe cases of hypokalaemia (<2.5mEq/L), the recommended dose is 4–8mEq (2–4 tablets) every 24 hours, divided into two doses given with food. • Continue administration until potassium levels return to normal. • Regular monitoring of serum potassium is essential. • Dosage may be adjusted according to the cat’s individual needs, especially for long-term supplementation. • Use only under veterinary supervision.
