What parasites does NexGard Spectra protect against?
NexGard Spectra protects against fleas, ticks, mites, heartworm, and intestinal worms including the flea tapeworm. It does not protect against hydatid tapeworm.

Should I use this product? NexGard Spectra is suitable for:
* Dogs living in high-risk tick areas such as the eastern coastline of Australia
* Dogs in high-risk heartworm areas such as northern tropical regions
* Not suitable for puppies under 8 weeks old, or pregnant or lactating dogs
* Note: If you give NexGard Spectra monthly, your dog does not require a heartworm injection at their annual vaccination appointment

Heartworm: Spread by mosquito bites, heartworm can cause heart failure if untreated. NexGard Spectra prevents heartworm disease when given monthly.
Intestinal Worms: These worms can cause various health issues depending on species and severity. NexGard Spectra treats and controls roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms.
Flea Tapeworm: Transmitted by fleas, dogs can become infected by swallowing fleas carrying tapeworm larvae. NexGard Spectra prevents flea tapeworm infestation through effective flea control.
Mites: Mites can cause irritation and skin issues. NexGard Spectra treats and controls ear mites, sarcoptic mange, and demodectic mange.
