Many millions of years ago, on the planet Cybertron, life existed. But not life as we know it today. Intelligent robots that could think and feel inhabited the cities. Eons of war with the Decepticons, their bitter enemies, have drained the planet's once plentiful resources. As the Energon supply runs low on the planet Cybertron, the Autobots leave to find a new energy source. The Decepticons try to gather every bit of energy that they can from Earth in order to get back to Cybertron. The Autobots, along with their new human allies, try to stop them.
