What parasites does NexGard Spectra protect against?
NexGard Spectra protects against fleas, ticks, mites, heartworm, and intestinal worms including the flea tapeworm. It does not protect against hydatid tapeworm.

Should I use this product? NexGard Spectra is suitable for:
* Dogs living in high-risk tick areas such as the eastern coastline of Australia
* Dogs in high-risk heartworm areas, particularly northern tropical regions
* Not suitable for puppies under 8 weeks old, or pregnant or lactating dogs
* Note: If your dog receives NexGard Spectra monthly, a separate annual heartworm injection is not required

Intestinal Worms: These parasites can cause various health issues depending on the worm type and severity of infestation. NexGard Spectra treats and controls roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms.
Flea Tapeworm: Transmitted by fleas, dogs become infected by swallowing fleas carrying tapeworm larvae. NexGard Spectra prevents flea tapeworm infestations through effective flea control.
Mites: Mite infestations can cause irritation to your dog’s skin and ears. NexGard Spectra treats and controls ear mites, sarcoptic mange, and demodectic mange.
