Description

This Liquitex Masking Fluid Medium is a latex fluid that protects areas from colour penetration. Use this colourless, latex-based liquid with fluid applications of acrylic colour and washes. It's the perfect medium to block off areas of a painting and let the surface show through.

  • It peels off once colour dries to reveal a clean surface underneath, leaving no trace or stain once removed.
  • Choose a suitable brush/tool to apply to ensure you get the detail you want before dipping it in soapy water and then dipping it in Masking Fluid - this will make cleaning easier later.
  • Carefully paint onto the areas you want to protect and leave to dry; once dry, you can paint colour on freely.
  • Wash your tools with warm soapy water straight after application.
  • Remove the Masking Fluid as soon as possible for best results, carefully starting at the corners and peeling back slowly.
  • It can be used on all acrylic-friendly surfaces.
  • It is fully compatible with all Liquitex products.
