Pikachu's tail is sometimes struck by lightning as it raises it to check its surroundings. When several of these Pokémon gather, their electricity could build up and cause lightning storms. Forest dwellers, they are few in number and exceptionally rare. The pouches in their cheeks discharge electricity at their opponents. Pikachu are believed to be highly intelligent.
