Can I return a product because I changed my mind?

Yes, if you change your mind you can return a product purchased from Kmart or Target online or in store if it’s within 60 days of purchase (or 30 days of purchase for products sold by a Marketplace seller), you have adequate proof of purchase, the product is in resaleable condition, unused, unworn in original packaging, and is not excluded from change of mind returns.

What products are excluded from change of mind returns?

Cosmetics (if opened), beauty products, fragrances, hosiery, shapewear, underwear (except bras), swimwear, pierced jewellery, printer cartridges, personalised printed products, food and drinks, gift cards, trading cards, mobile phones, mobile internet modems, live plants, and opened bedding, tents, trampolines or furniture.

Headphones, earbuds and home technology purchased from Marketplace sellers are also excluded from change of mind returns.

Can I return products purchased from marketplace sellers if I change my mind?

Yes, you can return a product purchased from a Marketplace seller if you change your mind if it’s within 30 days of purchase (or 365 days if you are a OnePass member and the Marketplace seller has opted into OnePass benefits for that product). The product must also be in resaleable condition, meaning it is in original packaging (including instruction manuals and all accessories), it is unused, unassembled in its original condition, and in the case of clothes, it is unworn with the original ticketing on it. It must also not be excluded from marketplace change of mind returns.

To return products purchased from Kmart, visit any Kmart store service desk with the product and proof of purchase. You don’t need to return to the store of purchase, you can return to any Kmart store.

How do I return a Marketplace purchase? Chat with us to initiate a marketplace return. All marketplace returns are done online and returned via post. You cannot return a product purchased from a Marketplace seller to a Kmart store.

Can I return an Anko product purchased at Target to a Kmart store?

No. Anko products bought at Target must be returned to Target.

What are digital receipts and how do I access them? Digital receipts are electronic proof of purchase for in store purchases. You can access them via the Kmart app or website if you link a Kmart account to Flybuys or OnePass and swipe your loyalty card when you shop in store.

You can view your digital receipts in the Digital Receipts section of My Account or on the Kmart app.

What are gift receipts and how do I access them? A digital gift receipt displays proof of purchase without the price to share with the gift recipient. This makes it easy to return gifts and exchange them for a voucher or another product – perfect for gift giving!

Digital gift receipts can be accessed by selecting the digital receipt in the Digital Receipts section of My Account or on the Kmart app. Select the share icon in the upper right hand corner, then select “Export gift receipt as PDF”.

I’ve received my order and something is damaged, faulty or wrong. What do I do?

If Kmart was the seller of the product, bring the product and your receipt to any Kmart store or chat with us.

If you purchased the product from a Marketplace seller or Target on kmart.com.au, chat with us and we will direct your enquiry to the seller.

I’ve received my order and something is missing. What do I do?

First, track your order to check if another package is on the way. If something is still missing, chat with us.

When will I receive my refund?

Refunds are processed once your return is approved. It can take up to 5 business days to appear in your account.

How will I be refunded?

Refunds go back to your original payment method. If that method isn’t available, Kmart will choose an alternative.

Will my delivery fee be refunded?

If you make a change of mind return, your delivery fee will not be refunded.

If all or most of your order is cancelled by Kmart or Target, your delivery fee may be refunded. For partial cancellations of orders from Marketplace sellers, the seller may refund a portion of your delivery fee. The seller will consider how much of the order was affected and if extra shipping was charged for cancelled items to determine an appropriate resolution.

If all or most of your order arrives damaged, your delivery fee may be refunded.
