Kmart Australia believes that all beauty and personal care products should be cruelty free. We are proud to be Leaping Bunny approved. A global programme, Leaping Bunny requires cruelty free standards over and above legal requirements.

All our own brand cosmetic and personal care products are approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny Programme, the internationally recognisable gold standard for cruelty free products. We adhere to a fixed cut-off date policy. We proactively monitor our suppliers to ensure that our products continue to adhere to the Leaping Bunny criteria. Our supplier monitoring system is also independently audited.

What requirements have we met to become Leaping Bunny approved?

In order to achieve approval under the Leaping Bunny programme, every single one of our OXX brand cosmetics and ANKO personal care products, must meet the Leaping Bunny criteria.

The Leaping Bunny Programme is the globally recognisable gold standard for cruelty free cosmetics and personal care products and demonstrates that a brand is genuinely committed to removing animal testing from its supply chain. At Kmart, it is important to us that we meet the rigorous globally applied criteria which extend over and above laws governing animal testing and include ongoing independent audits as we are committed to maintaining our approval under the Leaping Bunny Programme. Companies like us that meet these required standards are able to proudly display the Leaping Bunny logo.
