Since the Half the Sky Foundation formed in 1998 there has been more than 8,758
caregivers trained, 63,959 children’s lives transformed but the cold hard facts
are it is estimated that there are 989,541 children still left alone without people
who love them or care for them, without education and without shelter.
For the past three years the Kmart Australia Sourcing team has been providing valuable
support to the Half the Sky Foundation and last year volunteered at the annual Half
the Sky Gala benefit dinner.
This year we are pleased to announce we are now Official Partners of the
Foundation’s Children’s Centre at Changzhou and that not only are we going
to support Half the Sky through our volunteer work but also by raising funds so they
can continue their work with children that need such vital support.
